Parent Terms

1.1 These Parent Terms ("Parent Terms") supplement and form part of the TutuTap Terms of Use and all documents incorporated therein, including the Privacy Policy, Safety & Community Standards, and Subscription Terms.

1.2 These Parent Terms apply to you if you register as a parent or legal guardian, browse tutor profiles, send enquiries, book trials, subscribe to a parent plan (e.g. Plus), leave reviews, or otherwise use parent-facing features of the Platform.

1.3 By using parent features, you agree to these Parent Terms. If you do not agree, do not use parent features.

1.4 If there is a conflict between these Parent Terms and the general Terms of Use on a parent-specific matter, these Parent Terms prevail to the extent of the conflict.

2.1 You represent and warrant that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have lawful authority to arrange tuition, provide information about the child, consent to data processing under the Privacy Policy, and enter into these Parent Terms.

2.2 You are solely responsible for:

qualifications, experience, communication style, and lesson format;

whether lessons are online or in-person;

beyond any TutuTap verification badge;

2.3 TutuTap does not provide parenting, educational, medical, psychological, or legal advice.

• (a) assessing whether any tutor is suitable for your child, including
• (b) supervising lessons as appropriate for your child's age, maturity, and
• (c) ensuring lesson locations and conditions are safe and lawful;
• (d) verifying tutor identity and credentials through your own due diligence
• (e) complying with applicable laws regarding child welfare and education; and
• (f) all decisions regarding your child's education and tutoring arrangements.

3.1 TutuTap operates an online marketplace connecting parents with independent tutors. TutuTap is NOT a tuition agency, school, employer of tutors, or guarantor of academic or safety outcomes.

3.2 TutuTap does not employ, supervise, or control tutors. Tutors set their own rates, availability, teaching methods, and acceptance of enquiries.

3.3 Listings, rankings, reviews, verification badges, and matching tools are informational only and do not constitute endorsement, warranty, or guarantee of any tutor's quality, safety, reliability, or results.

3.4 Unless expressly stated in writing for a specific feature, TutuTap is not a party to tuition agreements between you and tutors.

4.1 Tuition arrangements — including subject, schedule, location (online or in- person), duration, cancellation, and fees — are between you and the tutor.

4.2 Unless a specific TutuTap payment, escrow, or collection feature is expressly offered and enabled, you pay tutors directly. TutuTap does not collect, hold, or remit tuition fees and is not responsible for tutor invoices, receipts, taxes, or payment disputes regarding tuition.

4.3 You are responsible for agreeing payment terms with the tutor before lessons commence, including method of payment, timing, cancellation fees, and no-show policies.

4.4 Disputes over tuition quality, missed lessons, refunds of tuition, or tutor conduct must be resolved directly with the tutor unless a Platform payment feature expressly governs the transaction.

4.5 TutuTap subscription fees (e.g. parent Plus plans) are separate from tuition and are payable to X Operators Group under Subscription Terms incorporated into the Terms of Use.

5.1 TUTUTAP MAKES NO GUARANTEES, WARRANTIES, OR REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING:

performance, or any standardised test scores;

environment; or

5.2 Any tutor who guarantees specific grades or admission outcomes violates Platform rules. Such statements do not bind TutuTap and should not be relied upon.

5.3 You acknowledge that tutoring results depend on many factors including the child's effort, school curriculum, and external circumstances beyond TutuTap's control.

• (a) grades, examination results, PSLE outcomes, O-Level or A-Level
• (b) school admission, scholarship awards, or academic placement;
• (c) rate or extent of academic improvement, confidence, or motivation;
• (d) lesson quality, teaching effectiveness, or curriculum alignment;
• (e) tutor availability, responsiveness, punctuality, or reliability;
• (f) safety outcomes, absence of misconduct, or suitability of any lesson
• (g) the accuracy of tutor profiles, reviews, or rankings.

6.1 Certain parent features require a paid subscription or fees to TutuTap, displayed at checkout and governed by Subscription Terms.

6.2 STRICT NO-REFUND POLICY: ALL SUBSCRIPTION FEES PAID TO TUTUTAP ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. No refunds for partial periods, unused time, dissatisfaction with tutors or matches, forgotten cancellation, account suspension for breach, or change of mind. Narrow exceptions only: duplicate charge, proven billing error at TutuTap's sole discretion, or refund strictly required by law. See Subscription Terms.

6.3 Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal as stated at purchase. Cancellation stops future renewals only.

6.4 You authorise recurring charges to your payment method. Failed payment may suspend paid features.

6.5 TutuTap subscription fees do not include tuition. Paying TutuTap does not obligate any tutor to accept your enquiry or provide lessons.

7.1 Provide only information about your child that is reasonably necessary for tuition matching and communication. Avoid unnecessary identifying details in public profiles, reviews, or messages.

7.2 You confirm you have authority to provide child-related information and that doing so complies with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

7.3 TutuTap may display certain information to tutors you contact or match with. Review what you share before sending enquiries.

7.4 You must not upload sensitive personal data about children beyond what is needed for tutoring purposes.

8.1 Sending an enquiry does not create a binding lesson agreement. Terms are agreed between you and the tutor.

8.2 Trial lessons, if offered by a tutor, are subject to terms you agree with that tutor. TutuTap does not guarantee trial availability or outcomes.

8.3 You are responsible for attendance, punctuality, providing learning materials as agreed, and respectful communication with tutors.

8.4 For online lessons, you are responsible for internet connectivity, suitable devices, and appropriate supervision of minors.

8.5 For in-person lessons, you are responsible for safe meeting arrangements, transport, and supervision. Meet in appropriate settings. TutuTap does not inspect lesson venues.

9.1 You must comply with Safety & Community Standards and applicable law.

9.2 You must treat tutors and other users respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, abuse, or retaliation against reporters is prohibited.

9.3 You must not:

9.4 Breach may result in warning, content removal, suspension, or permanent ban without refund.

• (a) misrepresent your identity or authority regarding a child;
• (b) solicit tutors for non-tutoring purposes or circumvent Platform systems;
• (c) post false, defamatory, or malicious reviews;
• (d) share tutors' private contact details publicly to bypass safety systems
• (e) use the Platform for unlawful activity; or
• (f) attempt to evade subscription fees or enforcement.

10.1 Reviews must be honest, based on your genuine experience, and comply with Platform rules. Do not include private personal data, defamation, or hate speech.

10.2 We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish reviews that violate terms, appear fraudulent, or pose risk. We do not guarantee publication or permanence of reviews.

10.3 Reviews are opinions of users, not statements by TutuTap. We do not verify every factual claim in reviews.

11.1 Report safeguarding concerns, misconduct, or policy violations through in- app reporting or hello@tututap.com promptly.

11.2 In emergencies, contact local emergency services first (Singapore: 999 for police, 995 for ambulance/fire).

11.3 TutuTap will review reports in accordance with our policies but does not guarantee detection of all misconduct or specific enforcement outcomes.

12.1 Content you submit (reviews, messages, photos) remains yours subject to the licence you grant TutuTap under the Terms of Use to operate and promote the Platform.

12.2 You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute tutor profiles or Platform content except as permitted by law or our written consent.

13.1 Parent features are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13.2 TutuTap disclaims all implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement regarding parent features, tutor listings, and user interactions.

14.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY SINGAPORE LAW, TUTUTAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF PARENT FEATURES, TUTOR INTERACTIONS, LESSONS, OR TUITION PAYMENTS.

14.2 WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, TUTUTAP IS NOT LIABLE FOR TUTOR CONDUCT, LESSON QUALITY, ACADEMIC OUTCOMES, PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM LESSONS, TUITION PAYMENT DISPUTES, OR RELIANCE ON USER CONTENT.

14.3 SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW, TUTUTAP'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE PARENT TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) S$100 OR (B) FEES PAID BY YOU TO TUTUTAP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

14.4 Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15.1 You agree to indemnify TutuTap and its officers, directors, employees, and agents against claims arising from your use of parent features, your interactions with tutors or students, information you provide about children, your reviews or content, your breach of these Parent Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.

16.1 For TutuTap subscription charges, contact hello@tututap.com before initiating chargebacks. Bad-faith chargebacks may result in suspension and recovery action.

16.2 Tuition chargebacks are between you and your tutor or payment provider unless a TutuTap payment feature applies.

17.1 We may suspend or terminate your parent account immediately for breach, risk, fraud, non-payment, or any reason at our discretion.

17.2 You may stop using parent features at any time. Termination does not entitle you to subscription refunds under Subscription Terms.

17.3 Surviving provisions include disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

18.1 We may update these Parent Terms. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance where permitted. Material changes may require renewed acceptance.

19.1 These Parent Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

19.2 Disputes are subject to the Terms of Use dispute resolution provisions, including thirty (30) days good-faith resolution via hello@tututap.com before court proceedings (except urgent relief), and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
